During his run as part of the tag team RKBro with Matt Riddle, Randy Orton showed a more playful side of his character, and the audience responded enthusiastically.
However, after Orton and Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to The Usos, Orton had a back injury that put their plans on hold. Fans are wondering when they would get to see Randy Orton return to action after WWE announced that The Viper would be on break for the remaining months of 2022.

In What Way Did Randy Orton Hurt His Back?
Randy Orton, the WWE’s all-time wins record holder and a 10-year veteran of the company, has battled a number of ailments, but this one appears to be the most serious yet. The veteran wrestler has fought through shattered collarbones, catastrophic concussions, and dislocated shoulders, but his most recent back ailment may be the end of his career.
Orton and Matt Riddle competed in a ‘Winner Takes All Match’ against The Usos on the May 20 episode of SmackDown. Before Roman Reigns got in the way, RK-Bro was on track for victory. However, it was Jimmy and Jey who came out on top. The Bloodline compounded their loss by beating their opponents after the game.
It is speculated that the assault is what caused Randy Orton’s injury. According to WWE’s latest update on his status, Orton is having “consultations with neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons to determine the extent of his injury and to recommend a course of treatment.”
The Viper, as you might have guessed, is suffering from a spinal cord injury, as reported by Sportskeeda. In November, the 42-year-old veteran was able to successfully undergo surgery to fuse his lower back, as reported by the combative publication.
Randy Orton’s injury is no longer life-threatening, as was previously reported. Fans were worried when Dave Meltzer, a few months back, made a remark about the severity of Orton’s injury.

Kurt Angle Broke The News To Randy Orton About The Severity Of His Condition
Kurt Angle has suffered from injuries in the WWE similar to those Orton had. From sprained ankles to broken necks, the list of possible ailments is long.
Angle’s back problems were brought to mind when he heard of Randy Orton’s injury. In an interview on “The Kurt Angle Show,” the Hall of Famer said that if Orton’s injuries had been more severe, it would have terminated the veteran’s career. Take a look at the tweet below in which a fan is deeply saddened by the news of Randy Orton’s injury.

“Your back controls everything. You can’t do anything when your back is hurting,” Kurt Angle said. “I’ll give you an example. Randy (Orton) just had surgery on his back. He literally couldn’t do anything, and this surgery is hopefully saving his career. But that’s how much back problems can affect you as a pro wrestler.”
Orton only rarely uses social media. The only interesting news from The Viper is a film congratulating John Cena on his 20th anniversary.
