Gillie Da Kid’s Early Life and Education.

Nasir Fard, better known as Gillie da Kid, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 31, 1984. He graduated from Ben Franklin High School and continued his education at Cabrini University, where he majored in business. Da Kid was a star college basketball and track athlete.

Major Figgas

Major Figgas was a hip-hop group that da Kid, his cousin Wallo, and his friend Ab Liva started in 1999. Dutch, Messy Rolex, Bump J, Spade-O, and Bianca joined the crew over time. Before releasing their debut album, “Figgas 4 Life,” Major Figgas circulated a number of underground tapes in Philadelphia.

This album was expanded and reissued in 2000 by RuffNation Records, after the band signed with the label. Major Figgas’ lone studio album, “Figgas 4 Life,” peaked at #29 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and #115 on the Billboard 200.
