Fargo Season 5 Will Be Set In 2019

Noah Hawley Returns As Showrunner For Fargo Season 5
Noah Hawley will serve as the showrunner for Fargo Season 5 once again, according to a statement released by FX. Before this year’s Emmys for the second season, the show’s creator and executive producer won an Emmy in 2014 for Best Miniseries for the original.
Before developing Fargo for FX, Hawley worked as a writer for the Fox procedural Bones, before going on to write for two short-lived ABC dramas, The Unusuals in 2009 and My Generation the following year. At the same time as wrapping up production on Lucy in the Sky, which marked his feature-length directorial debut, the network also broadcast his critically praised series Legion, based on the X-Men franchise. For FX, Hawley is presently working on a prequel to Alien, another famous film franchise.
Warren Littlefield Returns As Executive Producer, And Steve Stark Joins For Fargo Season 5
Warren Littlefield of The Littlefield Company, which has previously financed celebrated smash programs like The Handmaid’s Tale and Dopesick on Hulu, is returning to his executive producer position for Fargo Season 5. As NBC’s president from 1991 until 1998, Littlefield oversaw the development of many popular shows, including Friends and Emergency Room.
Steve Stark, the former president of MGM/UA Television who produced shows like NBC’s Medium and Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla, as well as Tim Burton’s planned Addams Family spin-off, Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega, also shares an executive producer credit on the project as an executive producer. For his most recent film, The Tragedy of Macbeth (an Apple TV+ exclusive), Joel, the oldest Coen brother, went it alone and directed Denzel Washington as Macbeth and Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth.
