Early in her career, Famke Janssen was given the ultimate accolade when her appearance was compared to that of legendary actress Hedy Lamarr. Janssen turned her attractive features into a successful acting career, landing roles in blockbuster film series like X-Men and James Bond.
However, Famke Janssen has recently been in the spotlight for a different reason, which unfortunately seems to follow actresses after they reach a certain point in their careers.

Famke Janssen’s Plastic Surgery Sends Fans Into A Frenzy
There have been numerous cases of plastic surgery gone horribly wrong for famous celebrities and actresses. Look at celebrities like Melanie Griffith, Priscilla Presley, Cher, and Mickey Rourke, to name a few who have had plastic surgery or gotten injections to continue looking young. Famke Janssen can now be added to the list of people who have tried this and failed miserably, as per Giant Freakin Robot.
No matter what she’s had done to her, whether it’s real plastic surgery or just injections, she looks too plastic. When Famke Janssen showed her new “look” on the show The Capture, Twitter went crazy.
A user wrote, “Woah, Famke Janssen…more fillers than Subway. Why do such beautiful women do this to themselves?? Makes them look older than they actually are.” Another said, “Is that Famke Jansen??? WTF has happened to her face, she looks well puffed and cannt move anything! No no no.”
Sarah Hyland had surgery to get rid of fat from her cheeks. But, to find out why, take a look at what follows:
She Turned Down Roles In Star Trek To work On James Bond
In the beginning, Famke Janssen was a model. She signed with Elite Model Management and has walked the runway for brands including Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, Victoria’s Secret, Chanel, and Coty after making the journey from the Netherlands to New York City.
Famke Janssen left the modeling industry to focus on her acting career, landing guest spots on Melrose Place and The Untouchables in her early years.
It was in Star Trek: The Next Generation where she made her television debut. She was considered for the character of Jadzia Dax on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, but Terry Farrell was cast in the role. To pursue acting opportunities in movies, she declined a position on Deep Space Nine. See the tweet about Famke Janssen’s plastic surgery down below.
Part 8: Famke Janssen would have been a great supporting role in docos about the Neanderthals, but ended up as Hollywood’s biggest browbone instead 😅 Starred in ‘Taken’ and ‘X-Men’ – the latter probably because he is one. Famke Janssen co-starred with Jeff Goldblum in Fathers & Sons back in 1992. She didn’t return to the silver screen for three years, when she popped up in the horror flick Lord of Illusions. After that, she made a big splash as Bond girl Xenia Onatopp in Pierce Brosnan’s debut James Bond film, GoldenEye. She now claims that being in the film caused her to question her definition of fame and that she struggled as a result.
To avoid being pigeonholed, Janssen continued to play compelling supporting characters in films such as City of Industry, Celebrity, The Gingerbread Man, and Monument Ave after her success with Onatopp. She discovered more horror in ’90s films like Deep Rising and ‘The Faculty’ and ‘House on Haunted Hill.
