On Xbox consoles and PC, The Elder Scrolls 6 release date is anticipated to occur no later than 2028. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer exclaimed that TES 6 is “so far out” and “a game that’s like five-plus years away” in 2023 amid Microsoft’s legal battle with the FTC.
In contrast, Microsoft’s attorney claims that Elder Scrolls 6 is scheduled for a 2026 release timeframe as the release date has been pushed up to three years instead of five years. This goes against what Phil Spencer declared therefore we think it’s just a simple error.

The game appears to be so far off that Spencer was unable to even specify which consoles it would debut on since it might not be available until the generation following the Xbox Series X and S. In 2027 or 2028, the next generation of consoles is predicted to appear.
Spencer’s remarks are not the only ones that suggest TES 6 won’t be available for several years. Bethesda CEO Todd Howard claimed the game was still in the “design phase.”

It has been speculated that Hammerfell will be the Elder Scrolls 6 setting.
One tweet from The Elder Scrolls’ official Twitter account, for instance, has three strategically positioned candles to mark the beginning of the year 2021: one above the map, one in Skyrim, and the final one beneath the Hammerfell label. The candle is supposed to reference Starfield and line up with the space above the map. Hammerfell may be the “past” that the tweet is alluding to given it has been explored in prior games. Regarding High Rock, the game clearly depicts high places with rock formations. It also showed a sketch of a map of High Rock within a spacecraft’s cockpit. Since Bethesda Game Studios’ games are much more popular now than they were when Skyrim first went live, based on the limited information we currently have, it may even be both places.
