Don Lemon’s lawyer issued a statement following the dismissal of an assault lawsuit against the CNN anchor.

A few years ago, CNN correspondent and host Don Lemon was accused of assaulting a woman over an alleged incident that occurred the year before.

Lemon’s lawyer reacted quickly to the news that the lawsuit had been dismissed nearly three years after it was first filed.

Dustin Hice filed a lawsuit against Don Lemon in August of this year, alleging that the latter assaulted him in a Sag Harbor, New York, bar in 2018.

At the time, the complaint stated that Hice’s “aggressive behaviour” had caused “emotional pain and suffering,” but CNN stood by Lemon and accused Hice of “contempt for CNN” on his social media accounts,

with the lawsuit filing coming after Hice’s “ineffective threats and demands for an exorbitant amount of money from Don Lemon.”

According to rumours, Hice tried to extort $1.5 million from CNN host Wolf Blitzer to prevent a lawsuit from being brought against the network.

Dustin Hice, who filed a lawsuit against the bar in Sag Harbor, New York, in May of 2022, says that after “a lot of inner reflection and a deep dive” into his memory,

he realised that his “recollection of the events” were “not what I thought they were when I filed this lawsuit.” He says he has since changed his story.

In response, Don Lemon’s lawyer Caroline Polisi released a statement commenting on Hice being “finally able to access his memory and recollect the correct version of events on the night when he approached Don Lemon.” The statement goes on:
