Demon Slayer season 3: Swordsmith Village Arc release date speculation

There’s no word on when the third season of Demon Slayer will be released, although it’s likely to be in 2023. However, in the COVID age, it would be near-impossible to accomplish this in the fall of 2022. Spring 2023 or Fall 2023 (September-October 2023) could all be possible release dates in this scenario.

That being said, Ufotable, which is responsible for the series’ animation, is known for its constant output. The first episode of Demon Slayer will air in the fall of 2019, and the second episode of Mugen Train will be released in Japan in the fall of 2020. In the fall of 2021, Demon Slayer’s Mugen Train recap episode aired on television. If anyone can keep Demon Slayer’s tradition of consecutive Fall debuts alive, it’s Ufotable.

Demon Slayer season 3 story

The Swordsmith Village Arc is now the third season of Demon Slayer. There will be no spoilers here, however, we estimate that it will cover the manga’s 100-127th chapter. A 12-episode season, with a few exceptions, is expected to be the case for this new series, which is based on the entertainment district.

Tanjiro should proceed to Swordsmith Village to procure a new weapon unless there are any noteworthy exceptions. Fortunately, the village has an antique weapon. Nonetheless, the scenario involving the Love and Mist Hashiras, as well as perhaps one or two demons, isn’t all that simple.

In a broader sense, the show’s conclusion in the Entertainment District hinted at the direction it will likely follow after season 3 of Demon Slayer. Tengen has been removed from the voting list, but he is still very much alive. Iguro was informed that Tanjiro was the most likely successor to Hashira. Muzan Kibutsuji is the final target for the Demon Slayers to strike back at from there.

Demon Slayer season 3 cast

Tanjiro (Natsuki Hanae), Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono), Inosuke (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), and Nezuko (Akari Kitou) will all return as part of the Swordsmith Village arc cast.

Joining them are two characters we’ve already glimpsed in the series: the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanoji. Also expect more of the Hashiras to appear in future seasons, as well as members of the Twelve Upper Moons/Twelve Kibuki.

Haruo Satozaki is set to direct, with Akira Matsushima on character design duties.

Demon Slayer season 3 trailer

Unfortunately, the first trailer for the third season of Demon Slayer is quite short and doesn’t give us any information at all.

It’s anime tradition to tease the next Swordsmith Village Arc with only a few essential images of the Hashira sisters’ designs. Industry trends indicate that a full trailer will be released in Summer 2022, followed by a series of teasers and TV commercials in the weeks leading up to its release. The 40-second teaser can be seen above.
