This week appears to be a good one for anime fans. Fans of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation can now look forward to a second season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy, thanks to an announcement from Aniplex and the release of a new trailer.
There seemed to be an end to the story when the first season ended in September 2020. Aniplex and Kadokawa’s dispute is not over yet, and Anos Voldigoad the Demon Lord will appear again. Despite the lack of a release date, the show is expected to premiere later this year.

The anime is being produced by Silver Link, based on the light novel series by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. Yuuichirou Umehara, who replaced Tatsuhisa Suzuki as the voice of Anos Voldigoad in season two of The Misfit of Demon King Academy, has been confirmed.
In case you’ve never heard of the show, here’s a brief synopsis:
Reincarnated Anos Voldigord, the tyrant of the Demon Realm, was fed up with endless war and decided to reincarnate in order to create a more peaceful world. Reincarnation after 2000 years yielded descendants who were too weak and all kinds of magic that had deteriorated to the point of being unusable. As a student at the Demon King Academy, Anos was branded as an outcast because of his lack of demonic prowess; he was subsequently expelled from the academy.
