Decim decided to resurrect Chiyuki as a result of a chain of events. Chiyuki moved on to a new chapter of her life, but Decim remained in the bar to serve the thirst of new customers.
Decim’s backstory can be explored by Madhouse even if the season 2 narrative specifics remain a mystery. After meeting Chiyuki, it will be interesting to watch how Decim’s actions as an Arbiter alter.
Chiyuki could also be sent back to the afterlife if her new incarnation existence comes to an end. Will she recognize Decim if that happens?
