Daredevil: Born Again Release Date

Daredevil: Born Again will make its debut in the spring of 2024, with the first season consisting of 18 episodes.

For reference, the first live-action Daredevil Netflix series had three seasons and 39 episodes overall between 2015 and 2018.

Daredevil: Born Again story

Daredevil: Born Again’s plot contains nothing at all. The title, though, might provide some further information.

Yes, Born Again may simply be a reference to the revival of a previously cancelled programme. It seems to be a nod to a plot from issues #227–231.

Born Again is one of the darkest plotlines in comic books, and if it were to be adapted for the big screen, it would be considerably heavier than anything else from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that has been proposed.

The central theme of Karen Page’s story arc is Kingpin learning the Daredevils” true identity in exchange for drug money. Kingpin splits Matt Murdock, making him unhappy, homeless, and without the will to live. Ultimately, Daredevil teams up with Captain America to take down the super soldier Nuke.

According to the website, Netflix has already used some of the story arc’s plot aspects, but there is still plenty of room for the new series to employ these themes if it isn’t deemed excessive.

Daredevil: Born Again cast

Only Vincent Donofrio (Kingpin) and Charlie Cox (Daredevil) have been announced as guests for the programme thus far.

Deborah Ann Woll might return to her role as Karen Page if the plot notion mentioned above is accurate, although nothing has been verified in any direction.

Daredevil: Born Again on Netflix?

The Daredevils’ original run concluded in 2018 after three seasons, however, this Netflix decision was probably made because of dwindling viewership. Instead, Disney had started making an effort to compile all of its Marvel movies for its streaming platform, Disney Plus.

The actor who plays Kingpin, Vincent Donofrio, said on the January episode of the Marvel News Desk podcast (opens in a new tab), “We started to learn why it happened at the same time the #SaveDaredevil movement started to rise, and so we understood what Marvel was doing because Disney Plus was coming out.”

The following three episodes will only be available on Disney Plus, but you can still watch the rest of the season on Netflix.

Was there a sizable pause between the two programmes? According to Variety, the characters won’t make an appearance in any other movies or TV shows that aren’t on Netflix for two years after the cancellation. Now that the time has come, there probably will be a lot more Daredevil and Kingpin than originally anticipated.
