The next generation of Cyberpunk 2077 and a substantial update to the game, version 1.5, are both available for download today.
CD Projekt Red said earlier today during a Livestream that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One Series X versions of Cyberpunk 2077 would be released later today.
In addition to ray-tracing, shorter loading times, and a slew of other technical and visual upgrades (as well as adaptive triggers and haptic feedback for the PS5’s DualSense controller), you can check out some gameplay from the PS5 version down below.

Cyberpunk features not one, but two gameplay modes on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X: Performance and Ray-Tracing.
The former option locks the action at 30FPS across both platforms, while the latter increases the frame rate to 60 and adds ray-traced effects such as reflections.
Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S only offers a Performance mode, which produces 1440p output at 30 frames per second.
Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 1.5 was described in greater depth elsewhere. Changes to the perk tree, AI, crowd and traffic behavior, driving mechanics, and more can all be found in the latest build of the game.
It also includes the creation of a large number of brand-new apartments for V to rent in various locations around Night City, assuming that sufficient funds are available.
All of this happens after years of speculation of a next-gen Cyberpunk 2077 remake.
Cyberpunk 2077’s new-generation releases were expected to arrive this year, and in January, a user noticed that PSN had been altered to secretly add a PS5 version of the game in the backend, suggesting that the release was approaching.
Even as recently as yesterday, the Xbox dashboard falsely advertised a next-gen upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077, despite the fact that it had only recently begun its shadow launch.
However, the rumors have been put to rest, and the improved edition of CD Projekt Red’s action RPG is here to stay.
