What Happened to Caylee Anthony?
What transpired with Caylee is still a mystery. Anthony initially told police that she left her kid at the home of Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, the nanny she had hired. Then she said no one was home when she arrived to take up Caylee. In September 2008, a woman who shared the same name came forward and said she had no connection to Caylee or Anthony. Later, she was exonerated of any wrongdoing, as reported by ABC News.
According to the source, forensic investigators detected chloroform residue and signs of bodily decomposition in Anthony’s trunk.
Laboratory results from the FBI indicated that a hair recovered in Anthony’s car trunk exhibited “characteristics of apparent decomposition” and was “microscopically comparable” to hair found on Caylee’s hairbrush; nevertheless, the analysis could not definitively state that the hair was from Caylee.
