Bobby Labonte Illness 2022!

Bobby Labonte Illness

Bobby Labonte Illness

American stock car racing driver Bobby Labonte is semi-retired and now works as a Fox NASCAR analyst.

Bobby Labonte said that he got sick in 2019 and went to the doctor to find out what was wrong. The doctor told him about a spot on his kidney and told him to keep an eye on it, he said.

He said that two years later, the mass on his kidney had “tripled in size,” and doctors told him to have surgery to get rid of it.

Labonte said he got a call from Mohamad Allaf, M.D., director of urology at Johns Hopkins in Maryland, who removed the mass. Allaf told Labonte that the surgery went well, but that the mass was cancerous and that cancer is “very aggressive.”

“A lot of feelings went through me at that time. I was relieved, but I also thought, ‘Wow, that’s crazy,’ because one-third of people with this disease don’t make it,'” he said.

Labonte has been racing again since the mass was taken away. He is in the Superstar Racing Experience all the time and drives the No. 18 car.
