On December 2, 1983, in Chico, California, Aaron Charles Rodgers entered the world. Darla Leigh (née Pittman) and Edward Wesley Rodgers are his parents. After relocating from Chico to Ukiah and subsequently Beaverton, Oregon, the family settled back in Chico in 1997. He played quarterback for two years at Pleasant Valley High School.
He graduated from high school in 2002 and immediately enrolled at Butte Community College, where he played football. He believes that his less-than-impressive physical size at the time contributed to the lack of interest he received in Division I programs.
After only one year of junior college, he was allowed to transfer to the University of California, Berkeley because of his outstanding performance at Butte Community College, where he threw 26 touchdown passes and led the school to a 10-1 record.

Rodgers was named the starting quarterback for the Golden Bears in game 5 of the 2003 season (University of California, Berkeley). Among the many records, he broke while at Cal was the career record for the fewest passes intercepted (1.95%). Aaron Rodgers Professional Career.
After the San Francisco 49ers selected Utah’s Alex Smith with the first overall pick, the Green Bay Packers selected quarterback Aaron Rodgers with the 24th selection. Rodgers grew up rooting for the 49ers. Since his debut year in the NFL, he has been the NFL’s second-string quarterback behind Brett Favre. Unfortunately, he didn’t get much time to play during this period.
After Favre announced his retirement in 2008, Rodgers was promoted to starter. Although Favre actually ended up returning from retirement, he was traded to the New York Jets. In his debut year as a starting quarterback, he threw for over 4,000 yards, 28 touchdowns, and only 13 interceptions. Subsequently, he assisted the Packers in their 2011 Super Bowl win. He was named Super Bowl MVP for his outstanding performance in leading his team to victory.
Despite not having won a second Super Bowl, Rodgers has remained one of the game’s finest players. He holds the record for the longest streak of games without throwing an interception (41 games) and has the lowest interception percentage (0.03) among active quarterbacks in regular season play. He is also only one of seven quarterbacks to pass for over 1,000 yards in a single postseason and is one of five quarterbacks in the NFL to have a passer rating of at least 110 through multiple seasons of play.
After it was discovered that Aaron had lied about his COVID immunization status during the 2021 season, he faced significant backlash. The news broke after reporters had been badgering him for an official comment on his test results for some time. Then, Rodgers went down on his anti-vaccine stance, spreading several myths that are easy to debunk.

Rodgers has appeared in a number of commercials throughout the years, including ones for national companies like State Farm and Pizza Hut as well as many that have been filmed here in Wisconsin. As a matter of fact, Forbes calls Rodgers’ endorsement deal with State Farm “one of the richest endorsement deals in the NFL,” valuing it at between $2 and $3 million.
Adidas, Prevea Healthcare, Bergstrom Automotive, Sharpie, and IZOD are just a few of the companies he has endorsement partnerships with. He and his Packers teammate Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, along with a number of other NFL players, were featured in a Key & Peele sketch from Season 2.

A four-year, $134 million contract was signed by Rodgers and the Packers in 2018. After factoring in bonuses and certain cash flow, the final value of the agreement is estimated to be over $180 million. About $103 million was guaranteed under his contract, with $80 million due by March 2019. That works out to $400,000 per day for Rodgers from August 2018 through March 2019 for the Packers. To put that in perspective, Brett Favre’s lifetime earnings were $135 million (on the field).
The Packers and veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced his new 4-year, $200 million contract with the organization on March 8, 2022. The deal includes $153 million in guaranteed money.
Aaron Rodgers Career Earnings.
By the end of the 2021–2022 season, when he was widely speculated to be retiring, Aaron Rodgers had earned a total of $263 million from the NFL. If he plays out the final year of the contract he signed in March of 2022, he will have made $463 million in his NFL career. With this new contract, Aaron will become the first player in NFL history to earn over $400 million.
As a result of his several endorsement deals, Aaron has made an additional $100 million.
Between salary and sponsorships, Aaron Rodgers is expected to make almost $360 million by the end of his career in 2022. To the tune of $600 million by the time his most recent NFL deal expires, when endorsements are factored in as well.
To put that in perspective, Brett Favre made over $200 million in his career, and that doesn’t count the money he made through endorsements.
