7 BEST SMARTWATCHES FOR GOOGLE PIXEL 6, 6A & 6 PRO

best smartwatch for google pixel 6 (1)

Every new iPhone comes with an Apple Watch and so it only makes sense that Google’s newer Pixel 6 and 6 Pro would also have their own watch, called the Pixel Watch.

My disappointment in Google’s redesigned Wear OS has only increased with the disappointment of other fans (previously known as Android Wear). Just as the Pixel Phones were released to demonstrate Android’s capabilities, so too would a pixel watch reveal Wear OS’s hidden potential.

Best Affordable Smartwatch For Google Pixel 6:

Amazfit Bip U Pro:

Specs and Features:

One Minute Review:

For around $60, the Amazfit Bip U Pro is a deal. If you’ve already spent all your money on a Pixel 6 and have little left over for a smartwatch, Amazfit becomes the obvious choice.

The two standout features are GPS capability and Alexa integration. The plastic back doesn’t seem as sturdy as the rest of the Google Pixel 6, but it does complement the phone’s Stormy Black finish. Furthermore, the 9-day battery life means you won’t have to constantly plug it into recharge.

Pros

  • Dirt Cheap
  • Long battery life
  • Built-in GPS
  • Alexa Support

Cons

  • Lacks AMOLED
  • No third-party apps

Amazfit GTS 2 Mini:

Specs and Features:

One Minute Review:

If you want a cheap smartwatch, go no further than Huami. Only if you’re looking for an AMOLED watch to match the sharpness and brightness of your Pixel 6’s display should you consider trading in your Amazfit Bip U Pro. The watch is reasonably priced at less than $100.

Even if neither watch is compatible with the Google Wearable Suite, the Zepp app may still be used to sync fitness tracking information with services like Google Fit and Strava. Both watches, due to their shared sensors, track relatively similar health measures; however, the GTS 2 Mini offers more sports profiles (Almost 10).

The GTS 2 small is more expensive, but its battery life is inferior, and ALEXA is compatible with the Bip U Pro standard. Battery life is disappointing, but we can see why: the screen is AMOLED, which consumes a lot less power.

Pros

  • AMOLED display
  • GPS connectivity
  • Premium Build Quality
  • Intuitive UI

Cons

  • Lacks voice assistant, Music Storage

Best Mid-Range Smartwatches For Pixel 6 & 6 Pro:

Ticwatch E3:

Specs and Features:

Ticwatch E3 is one of two smartwatches that will be updated to Wear 3.0 later this year; the other device is running Wear OS 1.0. The main benefit of this watch is that it connects to a wide variety of useful Google applications. It can make contactless payments using Google Pay, use Google Assistant, and run apps from the Google Play Store, as well as run Google’s own apps through Google Fit.

Other than that, you can sync your fitness data with Strava, Nike Run Club, and Runkeeper, and listen to music on Spotify and Deezer. Tell me, what else do you require? From simple heart rate monitoring to in-depth analysis of your sleep patterns, E3 has you covered in the realm of health tracking. The main difference between this watch and the Apple Watch Series 6 is the lack of an electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor.

It’s important to note a few important disclaimers. Ticwatch E3 lacks the eye-catching AMOLED screen and has a boring design with a large border around the display. Users have complained that the charging connector is inconveniently located.

Pros

  • High Performance
  • Android Watch
  • Music Storage
  • Advanced Health Tracking

Cons

  • Huge bezel
  • A little pricey

Two Minute Review:

In August of 2021, Samsung debuted the Galaxy Watch 4 and 4 Classic, with the only discernible differences being the Classic’s larger size and physical bezel. There are two different sizes of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and they are 42mm and 44mm.
Here, you’ll find excellent support whether your wrist is small or large. As was already noted, the Galaxy Watch 4 is the only option here that can compete with the sophistication and features of the most recent Pixel 6. (read 6 Pro if you prefer the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic). If you want to make and receive calls, send and receive texts, and use the internet without using your smartphone, you may purchase an LTE model for $50 extra.

Although it runs Wear 3.0, GW4’s design is reminiscent of Tizen OS, which LG abandoned in favor of its alliance with Google. You’ll need to install a suite of Samsung apps on the Pixel 6 to make the most of the watch, and Samsung’s own apps like Bixby and Samsung Pay are the defaults.

Other apps from the Google ecosystem may one day be available on the Galaxy Watch 4, but they will be made available for download exclusively through the Google Play store. (Up till today, not even Google Assistant has been added.) Strava, Spotify, LifeSum, Youtube Music, Adidas Running, Komoot, Walkie-Talkie, and many more are just a few of the many third-party apps available beyond the Google Suite. Having 16 GB of storage is more than enough for installing additional programs and downloading music for offline listening.

Do not let your intelligence lead you to neglect the safety features. Samsung’s low-priced fitness trackers offer a plethora of useful extras, including ECG monitoring and body composition analysis, for less than $300. We also provide more standard functions like monitoring your heart rate and how well you sleep.

Pros

  • Wear 3.0
  • High Performance
  • Body composition analysis
  • Third-party Apps

Cons

  • lacks Google Assistant
  • Inconsistent Battery Performance

When it comes to watches, I like Garmin, and the Garmin Forerunner 245 Music is the perfect compromise between cost and functionality. The watch’s focus on runners is clear from the product name, and it features a wide array of high-tech measures for tracking athletic performance.

You won’t need to bring your Pixel 6 with you for a run because of its built-in NFC payment capability and accurate GPS. In addition to the usual metrics like speed, distance, and cadence, it provides information on running dynamics, maximum oxygen uptake (VO2 Max), heart rate, and heart rate zones for exercise.

I won’t be able to go into detail about every feature here, but you can take my word for it that the Forerunner 245 is the best entry-level running watch you can buy. This watch is pointless if you don’t regularly engage in running. Similar to the Galaxy Watch 4, and in some ways better, the Galaxy Watch 4 also monitors your health.

The watch’s plastic construction and bulky form also render them inappropriate for use in certain situations. Another drawback is the unavailability of Google Play and other third-party apps, with the exception of Spotify and Amazon Music.

Pros

  • Advanced Running Metrics
  • Offline Music Support
  • Garmin Pay
  • Rugged Design

Cons

  • Limited third-party apps
  • No touchscreen, unimpressive display

One Minute Review:

The AMOLED screen, which Garmin debuted in the first Venu, is put to good use in the Venu 2 and 2S. The watch’s intuitive design and eye-catching animations make it a great choice for active people who value features like contactless payment, audio playback, and an interactive screen but can’t do without the basics.

You can choose from a wide variety of colors. Whether you end up with a Cloudy White Pixel 6 or the more conventional Stormy Black model, Venu 2 offers enough color possibilities to ensure a good fit. It was designed to appeal to active people, and so, the watch comes loaded with over 25 different sports-related apps.

It may record anything from a simple run or bike ride to more complex activities like high-intensity interval training or bouldering. The watch comes preloaded with animated images designed to aid newcomers. The Connect IQ Store is where you may purchase additional modules, such as apps and data fields.

Pros

  • High-Intensity interval Training
  • Solid Heart Rate Tracking
  • Garmin Pay
  • Crisp display

Cons

  • Expensive

Two Minute Review:

Only two companies, Fossil and Mobvoi, have stuck with Wear OS through its ups and downs. The new Wear OS 3 will be made available for the Fossil Gen 6: Fashion Focused in 2022. The Gen 6 employs the Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus chipset, which debuted just last year (and is also used in the Ticwatch E3). Only the Fossil Gen 6 Watch is secure, as none of the others are getting the update.

Wear 2.3, which is now powering the watch, allows for full compatibility with Google’s older but still useful suite of mobile applications (Google Fit, Google Assistant, Google Pay, Google Maps). Additionally, the Google Play Store provides access to a wide variety of third-party applications including Spotify, Uber, Telegram, LifeSum, and Strava.

Fossils do not have a stellar record when it comes to health benefits. The problem isn’t solved in Gen 6. The watch may be used to measure basic fitness metrics thanks to Google Fit’s inclusion. Athletes who take their training seriously, however, should avoid the Fossil Gen 6 model.

The smartwatch capabilities, though, are where it truly shines. It has the capability of communicating via phone conversations, text messages, and web browsing. The watch has storage space for music, and you can even load playlists from services like Spotify and Deezer onto the device. It has a completely AMOLED screen, so you won’t be let down by the visuals. The Google Wearable Suite and the sophisticated design of the Fossil Gen 6 make it a compelling purchase, despite the fact that it shares the same health tracking capabilities as the least expensive Amazfit Bip U Pro on this list.

Pros

  • Fashion Focused
  • Bright and vibrant display
  • LTE connectivity
  • Plenty of colors

Cons

  • one day battery performance
  • Limited fitness
